January 2, 2012
After spending a month with boondocking friends outside Borrego Springs, CA for Thanksgiving, and another couple weeks with most of the same group about 12 miles west of Yuma, AZ for Christmas, I finally got busy and relocated by myself to Ajo, AZ where I camped on the scenic Darby Wells road south of town.
It's a pretty dramatic area, and the rock just on the right side (above), when viewed in its entirety, closely resembles the head of a gorilla...in my active imagination.
And last night, we had some colorful Alpenglow at sunset, even tho' we're at low altitude.
